You won't. The Touch has Auto MDIX, so it will detect the type of
connection and automatically do the "crossover", if necessary. Your PC
isn't that old and probably does the same thing.

You'll need to download and run Logitech Media Server (LMS).

How you'll get music onto that PC is a different problem. Probably the
easiest thing to do would be to do any ripping and tagging work on
another PC and transfer it to the unconnected PC using old-fashioned
"sneaker net" - which means carrying an external drive or USB flash key
or similar between the PCs. Whet I'd probably if I had a network in the
house is get that PC connected to the home network somehow. If an
ethernet cable isn't feasible, install an inexpensive wireless card in
the PC.
