But this was not the original question ? Now the question is how to conect to a specific dac ? You started the tread by asking how to conect to your computer ? totaly diffrent question ? . To answer the new question . Use whats working the best with the DAC you intend to use . Consider practicalities , EDo can be somewhat finicky , unless the DAC is broken or you have serius rfi/emi problem you will not hear a diffrence . A safe bet is spdiff . USB in async mode can perform sligthly better than spdiff in measurments and ToS link sligthly worse . Use USB if you must due to the DAC's capacity . Due to the fibicky setup of EDO . But if the DAC is USB only or favor USB strongly by design ( bordering on broken... ) 192k is of limited use as most works can be had in 24/96 which is the suported rate of an unmodified Touch and good enough for a homo sapiens . How ever 192k and EDo can be a necessity for DSD files over DoP , Then again you need EDO . IN the rare case of music only aviable in DSD , again if avaible in a normal format there is no need for the DSD version ... MY PREFERENCE IN SHORT FORM . Unmodded Touch with SPDIFF coaxial , works fine with everything . EDO spdiff, if life changing music is avaible as DSD only . EDO USB if my favorite DAC is crippled in such a way that usb is the only good option . -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
