Untill today I used an USB-powered harddrive connected to my Squeezebox Touch. I don't want to work with a PC/server, so a connected harddrive is the only option for me. I know this has some problems, but sofar it worked, even though once in a while I had to rescan the harddrive again which takes "ages". On my harddrive are about 1100 albums in Apple Lossless M4A, and yes it did work. For over 3 years
Today suddenly I had problems, the Touch won't rescan and keeps saying "Can't connect to USB" and alike messages So I decided to buy an AC-powered harddrive, assuming this will solve the problems. The 'list of compatible harddrives' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Squeezebox_Touch_-_USB_Compatibility) is not really up-to-date IMHO So I hope someone can tell me which exact AC-powered harddrive will work without problems and has about 500GB upto 1TB, preferly a 2.5" version, but I see these don't seem to excist with AC power...???? So a 3.5" will have to do. Which brand and serie does work for sure? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lessram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61533 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105167 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
