Duh.... found a solution. Though might be a lucky (one time only) shot. By using a double-USB cable ( Y-shaped), the touch is now busy with "Discovering Files" and "Scanning New Files"
19915 Mini USB-plug in the harddisk USB-plug in the Touch, and the other USB plug in a USB-Charger.
