Simplified setup: Raspberry pi next to your router wired ethernet to router. (don't use wireless) Install Max2Play or piCorePlayer on the Pi. Open a web browser on your phone/tablet/PC/whatever. Install LMS 7.9. Attach a USB stick or HDD containing your music files, LMS scans this drive. (you can use a NAS too if you wish, but a bit more cost/complexity) On your SBT go to My Music > Switch Library > select the raspberry pi.
Thats it, a raspberry pi *IS* a computer, it replaces your PC, you don't need your PC to be switched on except to control the LMS server players/settings on your Pi, but you can also use your phone/tablet whatever to do that Pic below shows LMS server on my Nexus 7, exactly the same as on your PC, but smaller. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: LMSnexus.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21522| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ kidstypike LMS on Raspberry Pi 3/max2play/HiFiBerry DAC+ > AVI DM5 1 x SB3 - 1 x Boom - 1 x (Squeezebox) Radio - 2 x Touch - 2 x Raspberry Pi/piCorePlayer/HiFiBerry ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106433 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
