Hmm ... more cables and plugs! The bt transmitter has an on/off switch. Off makes no difference ... I use the optical out to a Denon amp. This shows the optical line is 'unlocked' (???) compared to 'PCM 44.1' when it works normally. Only noticed this issue when we suffered a series of power cuts where the Touch reboots from cold.
