The Node2i supports MQA in two different ways. If you're using the
digital output to an outboard DAC, it does the first unfold to 88/96kHz.
If that digital stream is fed to an MQA DAC, then it will do the second
unfold. The way I use it it only does the first unfold.

The Node2i fully supports MQA on its Analogue outputs, which gives you
full MQA decoding without any external DACs. In this configuration it
seems like quite a bargain. I haven't tried this since my amps have only
digital inputs. (Note to self - get out an old amplifier and try the
Node 2i Analog outputs)

Some Tidal MQA titles seem to definitely sound better than the ripped CD
versions (for example Enya Dark Sky Island). Others titles I can't tell
any difference. A possible cause is that the MQA/high resolution
versions have been mastered differently than the CD versions.

Regard,
Kim
