The actual transport (playback device), yes there are better ones out there, but what you get as part of the whole Squeezebox package is very hard to beat overall and nothing at its price point. I have stated the following several times in the past "The squeezebox device set the bar for highend audio listening for digital music, everyone has been playing catch up ever since. To this day is vary hard to find a device that compares to the Transporter and the Touch is in a class all alone." I have a Pioneer N50 that sounds a bit better than my Touch, and that is because the Pioneer has newer DSP's to enhance the sound. If I play each at Direct Source they sound about the same. The screen on the Touch and the abilities of the LMS to create playlist and switch up genres without a thought. When I go on youtube to see comparison of streaming units the don't use the Touch as it will still out shine current models. They can only say that its discontinued or it needs a computer to fully work.
