If development for the trac project requires a forum in order to make various decisions, don't you think this type of functionality would be beneficial if included for all projects using trac?
There is a plugin for this: http://trac-hacks.swapoff.org/wiki/DiscussionPlugin (haven't used it so not sure how good it is) Why doesn't the project plan on adding a forum feature comparable to Google Groups so all developmental communication is contained within the trac system? Personally, I had a tough time finding the Google Group and realizing how much it is used for the development project. Apart from adding a simple link to the navigation bar on the t.e.o. pointing to the Google Group in order to make finding this place easier, I think integrating forum functionality would be very useful for all types of projects.
