This would (indeed, I belive it is, in the case of trac) have to be
implemented as extention to ReST. This isn't a bad thing, as long as the
design of ReST allows does this do be done in a "reasonable" manner --
ie: all (correct) ReST processors still works on custom markup.

Interesting. Those of you that use trac markup so extensively -- what
part of the markup do you actually use? Are you mainly reffering to
headers and linking, or also the various format (non structural, non
semantic) stuff ?
