I never heard of the problem that attachments are not saved. Did you set an option to ignore some type of attachments or something else.

what is the permission of your 'attachments' directory. Just email to the project and ticket will be created.

Hello,

thanks for your reply and sorry for the late reply, I was occupied with
yet another problem.

The file exists and is owned by www-data and set to 777 so this shouldnt
be the problem.

I will try to contact the support directly!

Cheers
Magda

        Hello,

I am trying to set up email2trac in our multi-project trac
environment which is working so far.
The only problem: email attachments are not being attached to
tickets. Adding an attachments to a ticket manually works.
Executing email2trac with debug option reveals that attachments
of mails are being parsed and created in the tmp folder.

        2016-11-17 13:17:33,867 email2trac 182: writing body to
        /tmp/182xZk6af.email2trac.body

        2016-11-17 13:17:33,867 email2trac 182: function debug_attachments

        2016-11-17 13:17:33,867 email2trac 182: part0:
        Content-Type: application/pdf

        2016-11-17 13:17:33,867 email2trac 182: writing
        /tmp/182xZk6af.email2trac.part1.pdf: filename: st-oktober.pdf

I haven't used the plugin, but I'd be interested to know if the file
exists in /tmp and what the owner and permission bits are.

I see only one non-deprecated attachment-related config option,
which is umask. That might be something to look at.
    https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/email2trac/wiki/Email2tracConfiguration
    <https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/email2trac/wiki/Email2tracConfiguration>

There was a recent announcement for release 2.10.0 of the plugin. At
the bottom of the announcement email there is an email address for
support issues. You may have better luck asking your question there.

But the ticket itself has no attachment and the link in the
description points to an invalid/missing attachments.

Any ideas/suggestions where or what the problem might be?

We are using trac 1.0.1 on Ubuntu 12.04.5 and emailt2trac 2.9.0.
(permissions should be fine since email2trac is executed as the
apache user which is also owner of the project envs)

        Thanks,

        Magda
