I dunno if *we* tried but I did, tbanks204! OK, after much wrestling around last night I finally got it. For anyone still struggling here's what I did:
Using EasyGPS ( a free program available here: http://www.easygps.com/ ) I uploaded from my Nuvi the POIs I have stored there. Through EasyGPS you save a file of your POIs on your computer's hard drive. These POIs can be manipulated, deleted, changed easily in EasyGPS. Then I downloaded Garmin's POI Loader here: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-12 Running that program you need to have your Nuvi 350 connected to your computer via the USB cable. At some point while running POI Loader brings up a dialog box with a drop down menu asking if you want to put the POI data on the Nuvi or on the SD Card (a second, removeable drive (this is where I got stuck in the process)). Choose the SD card and Browse your way to the file where you stored your file containing your EasyGPS POIs. Apparently POILoader then creates a file on the SD card that the Nuvi recognizes and another button appears on the Favorites window in the Nuvi (I don't recall what it is called now and my Nuvi is in the car) when turned on with the SD card inserted in the slot. From there you can tap and select your saved POI and it'll be loaded to the Nuvi's internal memory and you can then use it for navigation. Remove the card before "Delete All" when clearing out those pesky, old waypoints of APRS beacons hanging out on your Nuvi's screen. While not perfect this is a very useful way to maintain the Nuvi 350 as a navigation tool. If you want / need to add more of your own personal POIs you'll have to get them to your computer's hard drive and reload them to your SD card. Not the end of the world but a little messy. This work-around certainly makes the Nuvi 350 and T2 an even better combo. If, while on a trip or otherwise away from my computer and I want to add a POI to my collection but still want to delete all of those stale waypoints of APRS beacons I think I'll just write on a piece of paper the coords and use EasyGPS to add the new POI to my list.
