[tracker2] Road Trip

My son's High School will be marching in the 2010 Rose Bowl parade, so my wife 
and I will take our first vacation in California. We are all Hams and I have 
never been on an airplane before. What will I need to do to get my HT's and 
APRS rig on the plane?  I would love to work the parade route and see my sons 
group walk by, but I can't walk very far any more. Is there any where to seat 
down and watch from the road side?.
