The Nuvi 350 must be powered from the connector on the cradle for the back of 
the unit which is supplied with the Nuvi unless you buy it off ebay and they 
charge for each accessory (rip off). The FMI cable is plugged into the side of 
the Nuvi 350 and to the OT2. The Nuvi supplies power to the Garmin translator 
cable when it recognizes the cable ID (nothing to do on your part).

The OT2 can be powered from a 9-12V supply. The most convenient is a DC 
cigarette lighter plug with a 2.1 mm coaxial plug.
