Unfortunately, power isn't available there... just ground, transmit audio, discriminator and de-emphasized audio, squelch and PTT. Do you have the FT-1500 manual? It should show the pin-out for the mini DIN connector if you are going to be making your own cable. I tapped into the power cable going to the radio and added an Anderson PowerPole.
