Aha! So clicking on the top left recurrence options changes the other
Recurrence section below. That was not obvious to me, and this morning I
didn't click on stuff. Being able to handle quarterly (or other periods)
this way is obviously fine.

I didn't understand that this option was *only* for the daily
recurrences, and that other stuff appears there when other periods are
selected. :-)

Maybe that would already be more helpful. Perhaps a bit different visual
organization could also make the link between the periods and the
specific options for that period more clear, but I don't have a
suggestion right now.

Yes, but Due Date is not what I mean. I mean completed (as in, when I
check the checkbox and task is done). Case in point: I want to clean my
coffeemaker every two months. So the recurrence is two months. After
that period I want the task to show up, but I may not get to it for
several weeks. When I'm actually done cleaning it, then I want the next
period of 2 months to start.
