The resolutions are being sent to the mailing list, by the
issue tracker.  You've raised some objections and discussed a
few others, so clearly the information associated with a ticket
state change is being communicated.

We've instituted a change, however, and that's that going forward,
issues will not be closed by document authors but by Paul and me.
