[transcode-users] transcode from lavc to xvid

Hi there,

Very basic question:  Is there a way to re-encode an avi file which was 
encoded by mencoder with lavc codec to xvid by transcode?  I gave it a try 
couple of times with my very limited expertise.  When I tried auto-detection 
of import module the output avi file was just a green screen.  When I tried 
ffmpeg import module, transcode just didn't work.  

I need to do that because my divx player connected to my TV does not recognize 
lavc codec.
