We can see this also in South Africa where some of our universities are translating (for free, AFAIK) Microsoft Windows (and probably other Microsoft packages too) into local languages. I believe that the Afrikaans translation is currently done by Stellenbosch University [1] and I heard over the radio there is also a Zulu version coming (don't know by who that has been done). The most interesting thing is that Stellenbosch also has their own LUG [2]. Taking about walking on both sides of the fence... I would really like to take a closer look at WiktionaryZ though. That sounds very promising!
