as a short note on that and answer to the mail by Clytie: WiktionaryZ,
http://wiktionaryz.org was trying to co-operate with ProZ to get
translators, for me colleagues, involved - see Gerard's Blog from
December for a note on that co-opeation

). Then, because developing WiktionaryZ would have taken too much time,
because it is wiki based and therefore requires a very particular kind
of code (the Wikidata code), ProZ went its own way by creating
Wikiwords. It is not a Wiki, but a java driven application. It just uses
the name Wiki (just to avoid some misunderstandings). As to my
understanding (I asked) they are thinking about a free license, but are
not sure about the License right now - some more info on this
"comptetition" ;-) can be found here:

As to information I received yesterday by e-mail from our developer:
"Editability of WiktionaryZ is on the very near horizon". The advantages
of WiktionaryZ are obvious: in a second stage you will have full TBX
download (TBX = Term Base eXchange) and you will be able to use any data
on WiktionaryZ within your favourite CAT (Computer Assisted Translation)
tool. And: it is not only addressed to translators and will serve for
many applications in science and education.
For now a short description of WiktionaryZ is present only on the
Italian Wikipedia: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiktionaryZ - well, we
would like to see this page translated in many languages (so if someone
would like to help out ;-) - English is not so important. I would do the
English translation if I knew someone would proof-read it.

servers. When you now go to WiktionaryZ.org you will note that the
domain is re-directed to the test-server.

this because I would not like to see CVs and certain other personal

manual they are going to be transferred to wikibooks.
Well we all would like very much to welcome you on WiktionaryZ, to ask
