I am working on this and if you could outline the kind of interface that
poEdit needs the server to provide, I could probably provide a working
server implementation in a week or so.  Is that short-term enough? ;)

What kind of transport protocol would be preferred?  Would XML-RPC be
acceptable?

I don't want to dig into the implementation details of poEdit, having
enough work on Pootle already.  Maybe someone else would volunteer to
work on the client side?
