Hi,

Part of WordForge is to work on our own translation editor, specially
designed to use all the advantages of XLIFF and manage process, but also
able to work with PO. The WordForge Translation Editor (specs coming
soon) should be able to communicate with Pootle seamlessly, probably
through the XML-RPC. Communicating with other editors, such as poEdit or
KBabel would also be great. We should try to have only one open
interface in Pootle and let the editors communicate.

Defining the interface might not be that simple. It will depend on which
information is included in the XLIFF file (will an XLIFF file include
its own path -locator- in Pootle, so that it can find its way back into
Pootle in an unambiguous way?). But again... yes, this is the way to go.
