私も考えてみました。 "A security vulnerability in OpenOffice.org requiring a tricked user to open a special WMF/EMF file may lead to the user's computer being compromised." ・trick A to B = A をだまして B させる → A が誤って B してしまう。 ・compromise 〜 = 〜 を危うくする、〜を危険にさらす。(compromise だけでは、「改変する」、「乗っ取る」までの意味はなく、セキュリティ上安全ではない状態になってしまうというように解釈しました) 構文も少し変えて下記のように訳してみました。 「ユーザーが誤ってある特殊なWMF/EMF ファイルを開けてしまうと、そのユーザのコンピュータが危険にさらされるおそれ(可能性)があるという OpenOffice.org のセキュリティ脆弱性があります。」 ------------ "shell meta character" 岡山さんと同じで語の関係を明確にするために「の」を入れると良いです。 shell meta character の 3 語の結びつきによって訳が変わると思います。 1. shell + meta + character → 訳すと「シェルメタキャラクタ」 2.
