Part 0, Clause 2.1 of BABT340 states;
"The basic requirements for a production Quality Assurance scheme are set 
out in Part 1 of this document. Quality Systems which have been certified by 
a Third Party as complying with EN29001 or EN29002 will meet these basic 
requirements."

BABT340 is a complete quality management system standard in it's own right. 
Part 1 actually describes a sub-set of ISO 9002. My experience suggests that 
having an ISO 9002 (or 9001) registerd quality system and a BABT340 PQAA 
approval only shifts the focus of BABT factory inspections from the overall 
quality management system to the Supplemental Requiremnts for Part 2 of 
BABT340.
