Indeed, Vic but this is a matter of practicality.  Some might say that, if 
taken
to its illogical conclusion, the need for standards and requirements (with 
or
without footnotes) disappears.  And where would we be then ?  Otherwise
employed, no doubt.
No, seriously, my only problem is when misleading statements are made 
apparently
from a position of authority without the originator having first bothered to
ascertain the facts.
Alternatively, as a "new boy" to this forum, maybe my expectations are too 
high
?
