Richard, when I read your comment about expectations
I could not help but chuckle. I won't reply even though
you did leave yourself wide open with that one.
As for expectations of this forum. I have found that most
replies to questions are more that 80% accuracte. There
is an occassion 100% wrong answer and an occasional
misleading response but I use the forum to get a general
direction.
I think everyone that reads treg realizes that people are
offering their own opinions and that the final "true" answer
to every question lays with the standards. I think most
people ask questions to generate discussion to see
if their interpretation of something is acceptable.
Having people on the standards committees and people
like yourself from a Notified Body actually reading the
questions and correcting the slight variations in interpretations
is a great help to all of us.
My .02 is to keep reading, keep replying, and keep your
expectations high. None of us have the 100% correct
answer to most questions and quidance is always welcome.
That's why the forum was formed in the first place!!!
Cynthia

Subject: Re: ISDN Receiver sensitivity
Indeed, Vic but this is a matter of practicality. Some might say that, if
taken
to its illogical conclusion, the need for standards and requirements (with or
without footnotes) disappears. And where would we be then ? Otherwise
employed, no doubt.
No, seriously, my only problem is when misleading statements are made
apparently
from a position of authority without the originator having first bothered to
ascertain the facts.
Alternatively, as a "new boy" to this forum, maybe my expectations are too high
?
Cheers,
Richard Crossley.
