Hello TREG'ers, I'm looking for a recommendation to a good engineering book that discusses telephone line impairments in depth.
I've gotten copies of most of the TIA and ITU standards that apply. While very helpful, they only go just so far. They are consensus documents written my committees, and what I'd like to learn about are the fundamentals behind the standards from someone who has "walked the walk." Not sure if a book like this exists, but thought I'd ask. (If anyone out there is writing such a book, I'd be interested in trading an independent review for a draft copy.)
