The most common 3-phase voltages are the increasing (will eventually
become 400V in year 200X something) European 380V (line to line with
220 line to neutral) or the diminishing (will reduce to 400V
eventually) UK 415V line to line (240V line to neutral) The
US/Canadian most common three phase is 208V (line to line) with 120V
line to neutral.
As far as connectors are concerned there are hundreds of them. From
3-wire to 5-wire and each ampacity rating being different yet. Each
country has specific requirements (strangest of the ones I have seen
are the rigid coaxial conductors of Australia with monster connectors,
used in UPS power backup systems)
Both Delta and Y styles are globally available. If it is used in a
commercial environment with offices, typically the input is a Delta
and the output of the main transformer is a Y to reference the neutral
to earth potential.
Good Luck
Hans

I'm searching for information concerning the most commonly used three-phase
mains line voltage and current ratings in residential and commercial
premises around the globe. I'm mainly interested in the US, Canadian and
Japanese circuits and ratings. Is a country list available on the Net?
Also, what types of attachment plugs are mostly used for connection to
these three phase circuits? Is the connection Y (three lines, neutral and
ground) or delta (three lines and ground) ?
