If you are talking about Euro CE marking... No, that isn't the case at all. If the only thing is a model number change then as long as your certificate unambiguously refers to that new model number, and you can achieve that by a simple statement in your technical file, then nothing has changed. Obviously, if there is a change to the EMC performance or Safety, then you have to re certify, which usually means re-testing. But you can simply make a 'value added' statement backed up with a good technical rationale and self cerify on that basis. A couple of Zloty's worth, maybe? Chris Dupres Surrey, UK.
