We spend a lot of time in the middle of nowhere in the summer...
and have a lot of visitors at times.
Sprint is the only guaranteed service.
Everyone asks to borrow my phone..they can't get coverage..
t-mobile....Verizon, Cingular...etc
I surf with my 700p via pdanet whenever I want, inside or
out of the house.

Yeah, you could have knocked me over with a feather! Who knew? Now,
I'm not saying Sprint has better coverage than Verizon everywhere, but
in and around where I live and work (northwest of Denver), so far
Sprint's coverage seems to be better. This is particularly true inside
my house, where the most I ever get is two to three bars (usually
bouncing between those two), and Sprint has a full strength signal.
According to the coverage maps (and we'll just have to see), in a small
town in Vermont where my daughter spends several weeks each summer there
is a big hold in Verizon's coverage that Sprint covers with "Additional
voice coverage area" which, I'm told, means that if one has a newer
phone (last 2-3 years) one gets coverage. Verizon - nothing.

Funny old world, eh?

Who knew?

Cheers,
Don
