I think whoever you spoke to at Palm was smoking something interesting. As you said, Tmobile doesn't have 3G. The 680 doesn't use 3G (it uses Edge, which is 2.5G at best). And as others have said, SIMs are interchangeable. That being said, I'm not sure how it works with Tmobile, but with Sprint you deal with the carrier to fix your phone first. That is if you bought it from them. If you didn't I guess Palm is the company to call. Just call back and don't mention the SIM and if THEY say something about it again, you can just told them that you went to Tmobile and had it replaced with a "3G SIM" and it still has the same problem. Not the truth, but since we know what they are saying is incorrect... Good luck.
