I have a 700 now and did not have any trouble with my 650 when I had it.
However, it would not surprise me you could have a faulty unit.

Not sure if it is just me, but I seem to feel that the 650 is a dud.
I never owned one but I had non major issues with my 600 and 700.
yet I have spoken with many and heard many complaints on the 650.
  What do you think?
