There is no error message. BackupBuddy locks up the machine. I have to take out the battery and reinsert it to get going again. My suspicion is that BackupBuddy is broken and was never tested properly on the 680. I tried a smaller card and it does the same thing. I used the older BackupBuddy (V3.3) and when it didn't work, I thought that it was just an upgrade problem. Fortunately, I could upgrade for free, so I did to 4.3, and it didn't work properly either. I think its some interaction between BackupBuddy and the 680 and has nothing to do with the card size.

And have you tried backing up to a smaller card? If that works then maybe the card size, combined with the way 680 handles it, really is the issue. But if NVBackup is doing what you want, this may just remain one of life's mysteries. --- In [email protected], "Stevej" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Did that, and NVBackup works fine. > > As a bonus, it came with the source, and now I can get to see how to write > Palm programs > > Thank you very much. > > Steve > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nico > Sent: Monday, November 19, 2007 5:06 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Treo] Problems with BackupBuddyVFS and Treo 680 > > Ditch BackupBuddy and get NVBackup.
