Yep, I have one of those batteries. The TSA asks that we put them in
plastic bags. Not that we leave them behind or in our baggage, just put
them in baggies if they are loose in a carry on. I'll get to test this
tomorrow when I fly next, but it does not sound draconian to me. Am I
missing something?
What I found draconian was not being able to carry my own wine for
family and client dinners. That still grumps me! The new battery thing
does not.

Maybe not for a treo, but if someone is on a 6 hour cross country
flight with a laptop it sure is.
