I'm not sure. I have an app called quickplayer that will stream audio,
so I would assume that a 3g device will stream at 3g speeds. I'm on AT&T
so all I get is EDGE - at least until the 9000 series comes out and I
upgrade to HSDPA some time later this year.

Good question - I haven't done that with either my Treo or my BB. How
would you do it with the Treo? That said my BB is tied into my employer's
Blackberry Enterprise Server so my calendar and e-mail are synced with my
corporate e-mail and calendar. If it can work with BES I imagine there's
a way to do it without, but I don't happen to know what it is.
Now that I think about it if you can tell me how you would do it with a
Treo I'll check into it since it would be nice if I can share my calendar
with my wife so she can't complain any more that she never knows where I
am. :-)
One thing the BB does nicely and automatically is export its microSD card
when you plug it into a PC - there's no need for 3rd party softare to do
it. And it's much faster than the Treo using CardExport or the like.
However, I haven't found a way to get the BB to do A2DP, the way
AudioGateway can with my 680.
