I did thoroughly check a BB Curve very recently and would say that BBs are still MAINLY business oriented. I could live with one, but still would not BUY one myself, so if one was given by my company I would probably live with two smartphones for a while (yuck), a BB and my Treo.
I did buy the Curve for my boss, in fact. For him, it was the best choice (and I am very happy with my choice, and so is he). But it is true that they're trying to be more mainstream, more consumer-friendly. Still, while their UI is good, their menu system sucks. It is PAINFUL for a PalmOS user to navigate. Even WinMo users will complain... :-p So if RIM is serious about making their BBs mainstream, they must improve the friendliness of their OS. Soem action take so many keystokes and menu navigation, it's insane.
