Having used the palmOS since April 1996 and WinMob's several times, I totally disagree with your assessment on the Blackberry. It is so much easier to use even with their menus. Why? Because of the trackball. Simple to use!

I did buy the Curve for my boss, in fact. For him, it was the best choice (and I am very happy with my choice, and so is he). But it is true that they're trying to be more mainstream, more consumer-friendly. Still, while their UI is good, their menu system sucks. It is PAINFUL for a PalmOS user to navigate. Even WinMo users will complain... :-p So if RIM is serious about making their BBs mainstream, they must improve the friendliness of their OS. Soem action take so many keystokes and menu navigation, it's insane.
