Not what I'm looking for. You know how google does it on their desktop version when you go to local.google.com ? That's what I'm looking for, only permanent. So when I pull up, say, Columbus, OH, I see on the map thumbtacks representing places I've already pulled up and thumbtacked there, or maybe I want to compare distances or look at a bunch of locations at once to see the distribution across the city. An application of this would be to see a group of one's customers in town plotted on the map simultaneously. The way you suggest is just a way to easily pull up the same thing again.
