They are database files. The .dat file is the active file, and .bak is the
backup file, which may or may not still have his contacts. Rename the .dat
file first so you don't overwrite it. You can always rename it back from
address.old to address.dat. When you rename the .bak file to .dat, it
becomes the active database.
