Yes - i had this last week when an update announced itself whilst I had
the Pre charging on the Touchstone and I didn`t have a chance to switch
off/delete my Tweaks.

I got up to 4 `install failed` subsequently and was getting a bit desperate.

I even made a listing of what apps I had installed and was investigating
a partial or full reset/restart.

:-(

And now, here`s the problem! I can`t remember what I did but it is resolved.

:-)

I THINK that I worked via PreWare and uninstalled my Tweaks but I can`t
be sure. . . . . I think that I may have installed the `tweak remover`
patch that others have mentioned on here and also `cleaned up` where I
found I had multiple copies of apps (updates?)

What I do know is that it IS fixable without having to do a full
kill/reset/restart.

So I suggest that you `fiddle about a bit` using the various ways of
installing/uninstalling stuff - it`s in there somewhere.

I`d certainly start with PreWare as I`d been using either the apps
catalogue or running WebOSQuickInstall.jar and was surprised how much
`stuff` PreWare had so I think that this was the area that I was in when
things got `fixed`

Anyway, now my downloads are installing OK and those damned `install
failed` messages on the notify area have gone away.

:-)
