I've tried it on all my WiFi equipped phones (Treo 800w, Touch Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2, iPhone). Keep WiFi and Bluetooth on, keep them both off, one on one off...whatever. Battery life is pretty consistent regardless - unless you are using the WiFi.
