Got it working through the gmail account, so at least I can reply to
mail. Down side is it appears to have been sent from the gmail account
rather than from the original POP account. Since the POP is my work
account, it's kind of important not to confuse people. I've got to mess
with it some more.
I think the key is to use the POP's smtp, but there must be some
combination of settings I'm missing because it's not, so far, working.
