At least he didn't do a complete 180!

Ahem... young man, in case you hadn't noticed, 50 is the new 40. Also, I
believe many of the primary contributors to this forum are over 50.

Subject: Re: [Treo] Suggestions for my Dad (Treo dying, wants new phone)

Update: In yet another example of my dad asking for my advice and then
promptly going 90 degrees to the direction he said he intended to go,
he wound up with a Palm Pre Plus. And I had no influence on his
decision...in fact, I was going to suggest he get a contractless
Blackberry (how's that for a shocker?).

But now he messed up his conversion from Palm Desktop to Pre. He had
to reinstall Desktop in order to use the Palm Migration Assistant.
When he did that, he mistakenly said he wanted to sync with Outlook
(which he doesn't). So now I get to spend another hour or so on the
phone doing Family Tech Support.

Please: All you over 50...don't let your tech problem-solving skills
degrade to the point where you're calling younger family members every
week with a new problem. We don't need any more domestic strife in
this world. ;-)
