I too was apprehensive about abandoning the Treo and Palm OS after 11 years
of organizing my life with it, but within a few days of getting a Pre Plus I
have not looked back or regretted it, despite a few deficiencies. Several
times recently I picked up the old 700p to look something up on it and I had
to think hard about how to use it -- after just a few days!

When I first got the Pre I also bought the (expensive) Classic App because I
thought I'd want to access my old Treo data and use certain old apps, but to
be honest, I hardly ever do. And when I do use a classic app, it seems so
primitive by comparison. The Pre really spoils you quickly.

Not to be antidiluvian, but since I solved the "last" reset-producing
problem on my 755p it has been more stable than at any time in the more than
2 years since I've been on the 755p platform. I am not eager to move, and,
as I've said several times, I keep a spare 755p in a drawer for the day when
my current Treo bites the dust irretrievably. (For instance, the metal
contacts at the bottom are starting to wear away, making hotsyncing
problematic from time to time).

My boys both have BB Curves which make them very difficult to hear when they
call from them. The Droid is a brick. I'm leaning towards a Pre when I
switch contracts shortly to join a firm, but I'm in absolutely no hurry any
more to leave my beloved Garnet.
