I did not remove the only two patches I had. The install seemed to work
fine, and the Pre seems to be working.
Now then, about those patches.
When I was working on that Google-Pre Contacts problem, one thing
we tried was reactivating the phone. The idea was to create a new
profile that would have no backup stuff to restore.
The device fired up with the 4x4 and Add Pages patches still
installed. I was a little surprised.
After the 1.4 install, both patches are gone.
My apps, however, remain intact.
