"You do have to manually remove the patches which are not supported in

Actually, you don't have to. I have about 20 patches, about half are
1.4 compliant, and I don't get any errors, nor should I have.

I have somewhere around 40 patches. I didn't uninstall any except for
the
led notification one since I knew the update would have that feature
enabled
and thus the patch was no longer needed. You do have to manually remove
the
patches which are not supported in 1.4. Nothing bad happens except that
when you try to do the update you will get a script error. So you just
need
to remove them and then try update all again. I didn't realize this at
first and so my update process took longer than necessary. Still there's
one patch that didn't update, and refuses to uninstall - area code as
state. Apparently others have experienced this too. Doesn't seem to
cause
any problems.

So far 1.4 has worked well, although I haven't been working it too hard.
Still no Too Many Cards errors so far. The only quirk was that when I
clicked on a link in Twee that opened the browser, the browser was
having
problems loading the page. I was trying to refresh a few times and then
the
Pre just decided to reset itself - that hasn't happened to me in a long
time. Other than that one instance, no problems so far. I actually
haven't
tried doing video yet. Probably will tomorrow when we go to the zoo (in
DC).
