Thank goodness for MyTether, then!  It's certainly finicky and difficult to
get working, but once it's in and working, it does the job!

Agreed. In my case, I rarely rally need it, but like a lot of other 
tools, there are times when it's the only thing that'll do the job. If I 
used it more, I'd just buy a plan -- but I was seriously displeased when 
I asked "Can I get it for the month I'm on vacation?" and was told "No, 
you have to buy the two-year plan."
