Yes, I went through all of that. I can't say I know exactly how I got past it, but it finally worked.
When/if I have a few minutes (not until later tomorrow) I'll try to recreate what I did. The documentation about MyTether is sketchy at best . . . FYI, the other day I was seeing download speeds of 800kbps+ from MyTether - not bad!! It's completely silly / moronic / self-defeating / pick an adjective for Sprint to offer NO tethering, and for Verizon to only offer the expensive Cadillac type. With becoming more ubiquitous, many/most people just need tethering occasionally, in a pinch. Sprint and Verizon should offer some limited, supported tool to enable this, and charge a small monthly fee, or a per megabyte fee, or hybrid of the two. My $0.02US. I'm sure they have their reasons (I see from the Android fora that this same issue rages over there - the tethering apps are in, then out, then in again, then out again. Sheesh!!) Reason I ask is I've followed directions (I think). = I've got a PC with Win7 = I've installed the Palm SDK = Run WebOSQuickInstall.jar = Attempt reinstall novacom (because it doesn't appear in the Task Manager = but when I Attempt Novacom reinstallation, I get a dialog that says Please wait while it configures Windows, the gas guage bar goes to the end and the dialog goes away. = Try to run Tether_Real_Installer_.exe and immediately get an Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. So, I'm kind of bummed. I've read the stuff on phorum, followed directions (I think, on both counts). Any hints, based on what I'v listed. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
