PreWare will display not only everything that is available, but it'll
mark everything you've downloaded. If you tap on something you don't
have, it'll offer an Install button. If you've already got it, it'll
offer to Remove it. Same, I think, for the Palm App Catalog.
As for the second of Levi's points, I know exactly how the risk
thing feels. I've pretty much aged out of risking bricking my device.
Hence my reluctance, after reading numerous reviews, to attempt
installing MyTether. When it works, it seems, it's great and I really
want it. But getting it to work seems a bother that makes me afraid of
bricking my Pre.
So far, though, my attempt at MyTether hasn't been successful AND
hasn't screwed up my Pre, and the apps and patches I've added have given
me very desirable functionality (except for the virtual keyboard, which
works, just not as beneficial as I'd hoped).
