I'm gonna' play it out more today...but already I can feel myself leaning 
towards closing them.

      I use, in more or less order of frequency, Contacts, Calendar, 

Email, Evernote, SMS. Contacts is most likely to remain open for long 

periods when I'm sitting somewhere making calls. Likewise Evernote when 

I have repeated use for it.

      Otherwise, I close 'em as I finish needing 'em.
